I'm not the only one with a new job....Keith started work on a 1929 Model A Ford today, the first official project for Phoenix Restorations and Recreations, Inc. I'm so proud of him!
As you can see from the pics, the car doesn't seem to be in too bad a shape....but it actually is. Keith will dismantle it completely, fix anything that needs fixing (except for the engine), clean every part, treat it with rust inhibitors, reassemble it, and paint it.
We are talking to the owner about rebuilding the original rumble seat. As you can see here, it's missing, and would be an excellent feature to restore.
The interior, too, is in fairly bad shape, and Keith is also lobbying to have this all redone and replaced. I hope the owner goes along with his plans...if he does, it will be sure to be fabulous!
Of course, the beautiful Ford logo is still on the front, but also needs to be touched up, which may be tricky...but I'm sure Keith's up to it! Can't wait for him to be able to get started on it. A project this size should keep him busy for the next few months, no problem! Of course.... there might be at least one objection to all his time being taken up inside the garage...
